Zanesville SURVIVOR Challenge Congratulations! You are about to test your strength, knowledge, stamina, courage, and teamwork. The course is designed to be fun and challenging.

Basic Rules:
Teams may consist of 4-6 participants.
This is a timed event. The winning team will be the team that completes the entire course with the fastest time (including penalty minutes).
Each challenge has a maximum time limit to complete. Teams that have not completed the challenge by the time limit, will receive a 2 minute penalty and move immediately to the next challenge.
Teams will run the course one at a time. Your team must be in place and ready to go at the scheduled time. Team times will be displayed on a leader board throughout the competition.)
Teams should arrive a minimum of 45 minutes prior to their scheduled start time. This will ensure time to register, receive t-shirts, and review the rules and the course.

The Course:
Over the Top, Heave-ho, Don’t stumble, Bury the hatchet, Knock-em down, Quite confuzzling, & Light it Up!

Over the Top!
The team elects a minimum of four members who must work together to get over the 10 foot wall. On the other side they will find their first bag of puzzle pieces.
Max Time: 10 Minutes

Heave Ho!

There will be two logs and two, two-person, crosscut saws. Working together the team must cut a slice off the end of each log. Team members may rotate as often as desired. Trade your two slices for your next bag of puzzle pieces.

Don’t Stumble
Team members will take turns crossing the monkey bridge with a bucket of water. They will pour the water in a small barrel on the other end and then race back to hand the bucket to the next team member. This will continue until the small barrel at the other end begins to overflow. Your reward will be more pieces of your puzzle.

Bury the Hatchet
Team members take turns throwing a red hatchet until it sticks in the target. Then they move on to the blue hatchet and finally the green hatchet before they get their puzzle pieces and move to the next event.

Knock-em Down
Taking turns team members get one shot at knocking one of the floating balls out of the air. All team members must participate rotating until all balls are knocked down. (The balls must be hit by the tip of the arrow. Balls knocked down on a bounce or by the shaft of the arrow will not count.) Don’t forget to grab your final puzzle pieces.

Quite Confuzzling
You’ve collected puzzle pieces at each of the prior events, and you’ve carried them through the course; now you must correctly assemble the puzzle.
Max Time: 10 Minutes

Light it up!
Your final challenge is to build and light a fire sufficient to burn a string, releasing your victory flag!
The bucket you received after completing your puzzle contains your flint and steel, and some tinder. After 5 minutes, you may request a book of matches, but you will receive a 5 minute penalty.
The timer stops when you burn through the string and your victory flag is released.
